Features and operating principles:
The tension latch is an ideal safety locking system for industrial applications and equipment that need to be opened frequently. It can withstand high tensile loads. The transverse forces must be supported by the application concerned and not by the latch. Our range of latches guarantees the user a range of options giving him the possibility to solve the different fixing problems.A standard latch normally consists of:
– a base that can rivet, screw or weld
– a handle with or without lock, padlockable or lockable
– an adjustable or fixed hook
– a retaining hoo
Definition
By leverage, the panels on which are fixed on one side the latch and the other the retaining hook are pushed against each other. The two panels to be brought together must be installed so that the axis of the hook of the latch in the locked position exceeds the dead point of the lever system.
Functional sequence
To open, the secondary lock (if it exists) will have to be maneuvered and the handle raised. To close, the handle will be lowered and the secondary lock (if it exists) will automatically engage.
